Consumers want REAL BENEFITS from the email's they subscribe to and they deserve it; they are giving their scarce time for the 'benefit' of content. It is important to make sure that the content they receive has real benefits.
This chart from Marketing Sherpa's 2009 Benchmark report shows the types of benefits you can use to encourage your customers to opt-in and stay in.
