An email List is central to any mass email effort (an email blast or email marketing campaign) because:

• Lists contain the email addresses of your audience
• Lists can be used to organize your email addresses.  For example lists can be created for each type of email communication (i.e. newsletter, special offer1, special offer 2, etc)
• Lists often contain other important information about your audience members like name, company or zip code
• The results of each send to a list can be tracked and measured

Lists can be created by:

• Uploading a .csv file of email addresses and other contact information
• Editing a list and typing in the email addresses, names, etc
• Creating a form for collecting email addresses and placing that form on your website or on a partner's website.  When a new subscriber enters their contact information, a new contact will be added to the list associated with the form.
• Creating a list based on a search or query (segmenting)
