From IconCMO

"We are changing the behavior of the groups and membership API calls to by default exclude any unlisted phone numbers or emails and exclude any households that are not included in the church directory. This is a change in behavior, as, previously, only the Membership->Directory API calls had this behavior.

The easiest way of reverting to the previous behavior is to use a staff member's IconCMO login (instead of the separate web services login). This will cause all unlisted information to be returned, even for the directory API calls. (If you didn't know that one could use the CMO login to access the API, this is actually a new feature we released within the last month."

What Does This Mean For You?

If a member's email address is marked as unlisted then that email address will not be made available to BombBomb through the web services (API) login.

If the household's email address is marked as unlisted then that email address cannot be retrieved by BombBomb. If the "Include in directory" check box is not checked then all of the member's email addresses in that household cannot be retrieved for sending by BombBomb.

As stated by Icon, if a user's login to the IconCMO app is used instead of the web services login and that user has adequate permissions within the IconCMO application then those records marked as unlisted or not included in the directory are accessible through the API.

These are changes made by IconCMO to their application. These changes effect all products that integrate with IconCMO through their web services feature.
