How do I Whitelist BombBomb on an Exchange Server?

Who is This For?

This information is intended for your Mail or Exchange Administrator, IT Supervisor, IT Administrator, network guy or gal or whoever runs your company's mail system. To make these changes you must have adequate rights on your network and, more specifically, on your mail server.

Microsoft Exchange Server

Exchange Server 2007, 2010

The simple and easy answer is to use PowerShell. Get PowerShell here (if you've never used it, then you are in for a treat! Great tool.)

Set-ContentFilterConfig -BypassedSenderDomains bbemaildelivery.com

Exchange Server 2003

Add IP Address to the Global Accept List

  1. Open Exchange System Manager,
  2. expand Global Settings,
  3. select Message Delivery > Properties,
  4. select the Connection Filtering tab,
  5. select the Accept button,
  6. select the Add button,
  7. type the address into the IP address field. (see list of IP's BombBomb sends on below. All must be added.)
  8. Select OK (3 times) to close the dialog boxes.

Configure the SMTP Virtual Server

  1. Select the SMTP Virtual Server that receives inbound internet mail
  2. select Properties
  3. select the General tab
  4. select the Advanced button next to IP address
  5. Select an IP address
  6. select the Edit button
  7. put a check in the Apply Connection Filter check box.
