What is a Suppression List?

The Suppression List is one of two system lists that you can access. The other being the all contacts list. You cannot delete or rename these lists.

Each account has its own Suppression list  This list contains email addresses that the system won't send to - email addresses that are suppressed.  The system will remove the email address from a list because of the following:

- the email bounced (5.x level bounced)

- the email recipient unsubscribed (opted-out)

- the email address used an invalid format

- the email recipient hit the SPAM button

Any of these reasons will cause the email address to be non-sendable, or suppressed, for the list it was sent from. In the case of a SPAM complaint, bounce, or invalid format, the email will be suppressed for all lists.

The suppression list can be downloaded as a CSV file.  A suppression list can also be imported into BombBomb from another program using a CSV file.
