CSV files are a very easy way to get large amounts of contacts into BombBomb. However, there are some versions of Microsoft Excel™ that require a small extra step in order to work with our software.

On a Mac, with your CSV or Excel file open in Excel, go to the File menu and select "Save As". For the file type, select Windows Comma Separated or CSV (Windows). The default CSV option will not work.

On a PC, with your CSV Or Excel file open in Excel, go to the File meu and select "Save As". The "Save as type" for Excel 2003 and 2007 is "CSV (Comma delimited)", for Excel 2010 is "CSV (Comma delimited) (.csv)".

For OpenOffice or LibreOffice, with your CSV or Excel document open, go to the File menu and select "Save As". Select "Text CSV" from the "File type" drop-down menu.

If your CSV file is still not being read, please send it to us with a support ticket describing any error messages you receive. If you can provide screen snapshots of the errors, those are helpful.
