You probably have a lot of contacts and lists that you need to keep organized. BombBomb will help you to do just that. Watch this video or read the step-by-step instructions below to learn how to create new contact lists, delete lists or contacts, as well as suppress or move contacts.
If you'd prefer to read, here's the step-by-step to getting familiar with your Contacts tab.
Relationship Score: Once you've clicked on your Contacts tab, the first thing you'll see is the relationship score scale. The more engagement that occurs between you and one of your contacts, the better your relationship score with them. You can see the relationship score next to whole lists and individual contacts. Learn more.
Contact Search: Under the relationship score scale, there is a search bar where you can search for your contacts by first name, last name, email address, or anything that you've included in a contact's information when adding them.
My Lists: On the left side, you'll see your lists. The first one, called "All Contacts," is a full accumulation of all the contacts you've both sent to and uploaded into BombBomb including from the desktop application, mobile, the Quick Send, and even the extension for Gmail.
Suppression List: The Suppression List includes people who have opted out of receiving your emails. The contacts in the "Suppression List" are not counted in the number of contacts you get in your subscription unless you've sent to those people through BombBomb.
Gmail Recipients: The Gmail Recipients list includes every contact you've sent to through the Gmail extension. The contacts in this list are not counted in the number of contacts you get in your subscription unless you've sent to those people through BombBomb.
Creating a New List: To make a new list, click in the empty "New List Name" field and type in a name for your list. Click the "Create List" button (or press enter) and your list will be added.
Once you create a new list, you will be taken straight to the list in case you'd like to go ahead and upload contacts. To change the name of a list, click in the field where the list name is, change the list name, then hit the enter key.
Exporting a List: To export a list, click the Gear icon next to the list name and select "Export." BombBomb will email you a .csv file of all the contacts you have in that list.
Copying a List: In the Gear icon next to the list name, click "Copy," to copy your contacts over to another list.
When you click "Copy," you'll have the option of copying those contacts to an existing list or copying them to a new list, which you can create from the pop-up. You can have one email address in multiple lists, and that contact will only count as ONE contact.
Deleting a List: Also from the Gear icon, you can delete a list. Just click the icon and select "Delete." This prompts you to type "DELETE" in all capitals in order to complete the task. This is an extra cautionary measure because once a list is deleted, it cannot be retrieved again. This option also deletes the contacts within that list from your account.
Managing Individual Contacts: If you'd like to manage each contact individually, you can click the checkbox next to a contact's name. When you do this, three options appear at the top of the list; you can segment the selected contact and copy them to another list, you can delete the selected contact, or you can suppress the selected contact. You can also hover over the contact's name, and the options to remove, suppress, or send a Quick Send message will appear.
Deleting a Contact: If you choose to delete the contact, you'll have the option of deleting the contact from that list or deleting the contact from your account entirely.
Segmenting a Contact: Segmenting a contact allows you to move a contact to another list. Just click the "Segment Selected" button and you can choose which list you'd like to move the contact to.
Suppressing a Contact: Your last option is to suppress a contact. Only suppress a contact if you know for a fact that you do not want to send them any emails. You will need to click "OK" on the popup to give permission to suppress the contact.
Selecting Contacts: When you are in any of your contact lists and you select the checkbox to select all, this selects the first 100 contacts on the list. However, if you have more than 100 contacts in a list, there is an option that appears where you can select all of the contacts on the list.
If you'd like to select more than the first 100 contacts in a list but less than the list in its entirety, you can show more contacts on the page to select. Scroll down to the bottom of your list and click the "Load More..." button and an additional 100 contacts will be loaded on the page. You can do this as many times as you need.
