Setting up a drip campaign using Automations

Drip campaigns can become really complicated. Individual contacts, lists, emails, timeframes — there's so many factors that go into creating a campaign that can make it feel overwhelming. 

With BombBomb, you can create a drip campaign in just minutes by using automations! Automations allow you to send out a series of video emails over time, which gives you the opportunity to make connections without having to manually create and send emails every few days. In your BombBomb account, you can create an automation completely customized to your preferences.

*Note: Any emails used in drip campaigns must be created prior to setting up an automation.

Step 1: Click on the "Automations" tab.

Step 2: Select "New Automation"

Step 3: Click the grey "Add Email" button in the middle of the screen.

Step 4: Find the email you want as the first one to be sent.  You can use the "search emails" bar in the top right or scroll down until you find it.  Click "Choose" on the desired email.

Step 5: Repeat the above steps 3 and 4 until you've added all the emails you want in this automation in the correct sending order.

Step 6: Once you've added all the emails, now it's time to select the timeframes in which you want them to go out.  All of the timeframes will be based on the previous activity.  i.e. "__ days after the previous email."  

In order to define these times, click the "Edit" button above each email.

Step 7: There are multiple options to personalize:

• Number: The exact number of following imeframes
• Timeframe: Seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, years
• Time: What time of day to be sent

Then click "Save."

Step 8: Once you've completed all the emails and the desired timeframes then click "Save" in the top right corner.

Adding contacts to an automation

Step 1: Click the drop-down arrow next to the "Start" button.

Step 2: Select "Add Contacts" from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: You can add contacts from an existing list in your BombBomb account or by individually adding email addresses.  Select which option you choose and add the email(s) or select the desired list.

Select where you want them to begin in the automation, certify that you have consent to send to these desired emails, and click "Send List Through."

You can always come back and add or delete contacts as your contact lists change but now you have the ability to know that these contacts will receive this series of emails in the desired time without you lifting another finger!
