If you prefer to read, here's a step by step:
If you'd like to switch around your preferences on the BombBomb mobile app for Android, first log into your app. Once you're logged in, select the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the app.
A drop-down will appear with a few options. Select the "Settings" option to go to the Settings page.
On this page, you can change several different settings for your BombBomb mobile app. Touch the orange selection next to "Video Recording Options" to record your videos in a higher quality.
The selection you make for your recording preferences largely depend on your network conditions. Strong networks do better on the "Faster Upload" option while adequate networks do better on the "Higher Quality" option.
You can also choose how you want to be prompted when first filming a video. Touch the orange selection next to "Record New or Select Existing" to change how you want to be prompted.
On this pop-up, you can choose your preferred prompt when opening up the video recorder. You can decide whether you'd like to be asked to record a brand new video or to select a video from your gallery, only asked to select a video from your gallery, or only asked to record a brand new video.
One of the most important settings on this page is your camera selection. Some phone brands and models interact differently with the BombBomb recorder, so if you're experiencing pixelation, a black screen, or other recording issues, it is likely because you have not selected the proper camera for your phone. Tap the orange selection next to "Choose The Recording Camera" to select your preferred camera.
Here, you can select whichever camera you'd like for your video recording. We recommend the "Legacy" camera because it is the most reliable across a majority of phone brands and models. However, you can test each option to see which camera works best for your phone.
At the bottom, you can manage some other functions. Check these checkboxes depending on if you want to save a video to your phone right after recording, clear notification after video upload, or create a multipart video when rotating your phone. We do recommend selecting the option to save a video to your phone after upload in case you experience a network interruption. This way, your video will be saved to your phone even if it was interrupted during sending to a recipient.
At the bottom of the screen, you can manage your notifications. Select the checkboxes based on if you want to enable notifications in-app or if you want to enable notification sounds.
Once you're finished managing your preferences on the settings page, select "Save" in the upper right corner to save your changes.
