So you've built a form and included all of the questions and information you'd like to know from those you plan on sharing it with. But after you've created a form and made it pretty, what do you do with it? Answer: anything and everything.
With BombBomb, you can share your forms to social media so your social network has the ability to provide you with their information giving you potential leads, feedback, and much more. You can also embed your form onto your website — that way, anyone who visits a specific page can have the opportunity to answer your questions. There's even a way to link your form in your email! After people begin filling out your form, you can track each individual response and check out a summary of answers people have provided.
Watch this video to see how track, embed, and share your form with others, or read below for the step-by-step instructions!
Important Note: Forms are only available to legacy and Prompt users of BombBomb.
If you'd prefer to read, here's a step by step:
Tracking page: To head to the tracking page, click on the "Forms" tab. Here, you'll see all the forms you've created. To look at the tracking page of a form, click the pie chart icon next to the form you'd like to view for the tracking for.
Tracking statistics: You'll then see your form tracking statistics. At the top, if you have multiple choice options on your form, you'll see pie charts of the results so far. Underneath, you'll see the individual responses people have submitted.
Exporting: If you'd like to have these results in an Excel format to import them elsewhere or just for safekeeping, you can do that as well. At the top of the tracking pack, click the "Export" icon. This will export your results into a .csv file.
Sharing: You can also share your form so you can make your form available to a lot more people. From the Forms tab, you'll see next to the form you select that you have some super fast options for sharing. The link to your form is already visible at the top right — you can click this link to see your form, and you can copy that URL to share it wherever you want.
Social media sharing: If you want to quickly share your form to social media, click the "Share" dropdown next to the form you want to share. From here, you can select the appropriate social media platform you'd like to share your form to and it will quickly post for you.
Embed page: If you're already on the tracking page, you can click the "Embed" icon at the top. Otherwise, from the Forms tab, click the "Embed" icon next to the form you want to share. Here, you have a little more control and decision in what you'd like to share. At the top, you'll be provided with the URL for your form that you can share anywhere.
Hyperlink code: In the middle of the page, you're also provided with a hyperlink code. You can put this code into your website to hyperlink your form. If you'd like to change the text, all you need to do is change the "Please fill out my form" portion to say whatever you'd like it to, and that text will then be hyperlinked.
Embed code: At the very bottom of the page, you'll see an embed code wrapped in what we call an "iframe." Having this code wrapped in an iframe means that this form will maintain a connection with BombBomb servers; any contact who fills out your form will be added to your BombBomb contacts, and any changes you make to your form will update automatically on the embedded form. You can paste this code on your website to embed this form onto a landing page of your choice. *Note: you cannot embed a form inside of an email. Email providers strive to maintain a secure environment, so they do not allow access to outside servers.
Sharing a form in an email: If you'd like to link this form in one of your emails, there are a couple ways you can do this. You can link this form to a button, image, or just text. To link this form to a button, from inside your email, click on the button you'd like to link the form to. On the left side, you'll see a "Link Type" dropdown. Click this and select "Form."
From here, all of your BombBomb forms will appear. You can choose whichever form you'd like to link the button to. At this point, the URL in the URL field on the button settings will link to your BombBomb form.
To link text to your form, highlight any text in the body of your email and click the chain link icon to hyperlink.
Change the "Link Type" dropdown to "Form" and select whichever BombBomb form you'd like to link your text to. When finished, click the "Save Link" button.
To link your form to an image, click on the "Layout" tab and click and drag a "Media" element onto your email. Any spot that turns teal is an appropriate space on your email to drop the media element.
You'll see a media element automatically defaults to a video, so we'll need to change this to an image. In the media settings on the left side of the screen, click the "Media Type" dropdown and select "Image." Once you upload or select your image to use, it's the same process! Select "Form" from the "Link Type" dropdown and choose whichever form you'd like to link to that image. Always remember to click any sort of "Save" button so you can save your work.
