You're often on the go, and so are many of your connections. People may not be checking email throughout the day, but did you know that you can text videos too?
With BombBomb, you can send your videos through text message straight from the mobile app! You can text a video you've just recorded, or you can even send a pre-recorded video from your video library.
Watch this video to learn how, or read the step-by-step instructions below.
Here are the step-by-step instructions:
Texting a pre-existing video
Step 1: Open the mobile app on your phone and select the Video Library icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 2: Select a video from your video library to text.
Step 3: From this screen, choose "Text."
Step 4: You will now see your phone's contact list. Choose your recipient(s) and click "Done." This will take you to your phone's default texting app. Type a quick message to encourage them to watch your video! Depending on the system, it will either paste a link or an animated preview to your video.
Quick Tip: If you choose multiple recipients at once, they'll be added to a group text where all recipients can reply and see each others' responses.
Texting a new video
Step 1: Open the app and select the red record button at the bottom of your screen.
Quick Tip: Videos look best in landscape orientation, so rotate your camera before you hit that record button!
Step 2: Tap the red button to start and stop recording. If you'd like, you can flip your camera by selecting the camera icon on the bottom right of your screen.
Step 3: Once you're done recording, you have several options. You can re-record by selecting "Re-Record" in the top left or playback your video by tapping the video preview. Click "Edit" if you'd like to select a thumbnail, edit your title, or add a call-to-action banner. Once you're satisfied, select the "Text" button.
Quick Tip: If you select a thumbnail, this will replace the animated 3-second gif. This is a great option when sending videos through apps that only send links rather than gifs. Otherwise, we suggest sticking with the eye-catching animated gif!
Step 4: You will now see your phone's contact list. Choose your recipient(s) and click "Done." This will take you to your phone's default texting app. Type a quick message to encourage them to watch your video! Depending on the system, it will either paste a link or an animated preview to your video.
Quick Tip: If you choose multiple recipients at once, they will be placed into a group text where all recipients can reply and see each others' responses.
