With BombBomb's email tracking features, you can monitor key aspects of client engagement with your emails. This includes:
- Opens: Determines whether your email was opened.
- Clicks: Tracks if any links in your email were clicked.
These tracking features help you identify which recipients to follow up with based on their interaction with your email. Here's how each tracking element functions:
Tracking Email Opens
- Mechanism: We use picture tracking to monitor email opens. Each email contains a tiny, transparent image unique to the recipient. When the email is opened, the image is downloaded from our server, which logs the event as an "open."
- Note: Be aware that emails you are CC’d on or that are forwarded may result in false positives.
Tracking Email Clicks
- Mechanism: We employ unique links that are embedded in any clickable objects within your email. When a recipient clicks on these objects, our server records the action.
- Note: Some inbox providers and email apps, such as Apple's Mail Privacy Protection, may block tracking.
