If you’re having trouble recording video in BombBomb, it’s often due to your computer's camera permissions. This article walks you through how to check and update camera access settings on both Mac and Windows devices to get you recording again quickly.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Check Camera Access in BombBomb
- Make sure you're using a supported browser (Chrome is recommended).
- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to BombBomb.
- Click the "view site information" next to the URL in the address bar.
- In the dropdown menu, find the “Camera” and “Microphone” options.
- Set Both to “Always Allow.”
- Close the Dropdown Menu after setting the permissions.

Click the Refresh Button in the browser or press

(Windows) orCmd + R
(Mac) to reload the page. - Test your Camera and Microphone by starting a new video in BombBomb to ensure permissions are correctly applied.

Open Google Chrome.

Click the Three Dots Menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the browser window.

Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

In the left-hand menu, click "Privacy and security."

Click the back arrow or go back to the "Site settings" page.

2. Update Camera and Microphone Permissions on a Mac (macOS)

Open System Settings
Click the Apple menu in the top left and select System Settings... -
In the sidebar, scroll down and click Privacy & Security.

Under Privacy, select Camera.

In the list of apps, toggle Google Chrome and BombBomb Screen Recorder to On to grant camera access.

Return to the Privacy section and select Microphone.

Toggle Google Chrome to On to grant microphone access.

Still under Privacy, select Screen & System Audio Recording.

Toggle Google Chrome & BombBomb Screen Recorder to On to allow screen recording.

In Windows 10: Go toPrivacy > Camera
In Windows 11: Go toPrivacy & security > Camera
- Enable Camera Access:
- Ensure the toggle for Camera access is turned On.
- Allow Apps to Access Camera:
- Toggle Allow apps to access your camera to On.
