In some cases, when you're trying to explain how to do something, it's easier to show someone than to tell them. When you're trying to display on-screen activity, this can be difficult — especially if you're trying to be personable with video. With BombBomb's screen recorder in the Outlook add-in, you can record your screen (and yourself!) in your Outlook account while helping someone navigate somewhere on the computer such as your website, an online form, etc.
To learn how, watch this video or keep reading below.
Here are the step-by-step instructions.
Step 1: If you don't have it, get BombBomb's Outlook add-in.
Step 2: In your Outlook account, click the "New Email" or the "Send Video" button.
Step 3: Once a new email is open, click the "Record Video" button.
Step 4: Once you click the Record Video button, this will pull up the BombBomb recorder. In the bottom left, click the screen recorder icon.
Step 5: The screen recorder panel will appear at the top of your screen. Click the red circle button beneath your video to begin recording your screen.
Note: Your original screen will say "Recording in Progress," but you still need to click that red circle button below your video to start recording!
Step 6: When you're recording, you can choose to turn off your video or make your video full screen using the icons below your video. Once you're finished, click the red square button in the panel underneath your video.
Step 7: When your recording is finished, you will see a pop-up saying that your recording will be in your starting window. Click the "Continue" button.
Step 8: You will have the option to re-record, play your video back, take a photo for a thumbnail, or add a call-to-action banner. Once you're finished, click the "Finish" button at the bottom.
Step 9: Your screen recording will then be inserted into your email!
