Using variables, BombBomb makes it easy to always have an up-to-date email signature on any of your emails. Watch this video or read the step-by-step instructions below to learn how to create or edit your email signature.

Your signature information
The first step is to ensure your profile information is up to date. Click your name in the upper right corner of your account and click "Settings."
On the Settings page select "Edit Profile" and fill out any information you'd like to appear in your signature in the Basics, Organization, and Social Media tabs. (Learn more.)
Next, go to your Emails tab and open a new email by clicking "New Email" (choose the "Advanced Composer" option) or open an existing email by clicking "Edit" next to the email.
If you use an email template, it may include a pre-built signature. In this example, we'll use a template, but you can follow the same directions to create one from scratch. To choose a template, click "Change Template" in the Design tab in the left panel and then select the template you'd like.
If you want to delete any of the information (or variables) from your email signature, simply click into the text box and use the backspace or delete key to delete the variable you don't want.
If you want to add a different piece of information to your signature, click in the text box, and you'll see the editing bar appear over the box. Click the dropdown next to "Insert," and select "Variable."
This will open the Variable settings in the left panel. Click the dropdown next to "General" and select "Profile."
Simply click on the information you'd like added to your email signature, and it will be inserted.
To change the formatting of your signature, use the editing bar above the text box to change font, size, bolding, etc. The color of the text in your signature is controlled in the "Design" tab in the left panel. There are different colors for Body Text, Heading Text, and Links. To change the style of an item, highlight it, then select whether you'd like the formatting for Body Text (Normal), Heading 1, or Heading 2 applied.
Your profile photo
If you see what looks like a broken image in your template's email signature, it is actually your profile photo. As long as you've uploaded your photo into your profile, it will populate once you preview or send your email.
If you want to delete your profile photo, simply hover over the box, click the Gear icon, and select "Delete."
If you want to add your profile photo to your email signature, there isn't a way to do this using variables (unless you are using a template that already includes your profile photo.) To manually add your photo to your signature, navigate to the Layout tab. Drag and drop the "Media" element to the spot you'd like it in your signature.
Next, in the Media Settings in the left panel, change the Media type to "Image," and then upload your photo or choose one you've added to your account.
To add space or a border around your photo, click on the Gear icon and select "Column Settings."
In the left panel, change the padding or margin settings to add space. For example, change them from 0 to 10. Or change the numbers by the border to adjust the size of your photo's border.
Social media icons
Some email templates will include social media icons in your signature. To edit these, click on the box. The Social settings will open in the left panel. To add or remove any of the icons, click the icon in the left panel. If you add a site other than Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or YouTube (which will populate from your profile), add the URL to your account in the field next to the icon. You can also change the color/style of the icons, the spacing between icons, or the size of the icons using the controls in the left panel.
If you're using a template without social media icons and would like to add them, navigate to the Layout tab in the left panel. Drag and drop the "Social" element from the left panel to the spot you'd like it in your email. As you hover over your email, the places where you can drop the element will turn teal.
This will open the Social settings in the left panel. If you want to add or remove any of the icons, just click the icon. If you add a social media site other than Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or YouTube, add the url to your account in the field next to the icon. You can also change the color/style of the icons, the spacing between icons, or the size of the icons using the controls in the left panel.
You're all set! Make sure to always save your work before previewing your email to see how your changes look!
