Having a call-to-action is an important part of any email. If you want to make your call-to-action as clear as possible, add a button to your email.

Adding a Button

Navigate to the Layout Tab
- Go to the Layout tab in your left panel.

Drag and Drop the Button Element
- Drag the "Button" element into your email. As you hover over areas where you can drop the button, they will turn teal.
Formatting Your Button
1. Open Button Settings

- Click on the button to open the Button Settings in the left panel, or click the "Button Settings" option.
2. Edit Button Text
- In the Button Text field, enter your desired text.
- Customize the text by using the bold and underline buttons, adjusting the font dropdown, or changing the font size.
- Change the text color by clicking the color box next to "Font."
3. Set Button Link
Link to a Website:
- Ensure "Link Type" is set to "URL."
- Paste the website address in the "URL" field.
- Choose the "Target" field option to specify if the button opens in a new window or the same window.
Link to a File:
- Set "Link Type" to "File."
- Select from files previously added to BombBomb or click "Add New File" to upload a new file.
- When recipients click the button, they will be directed to a preview page where they can download the file.
(Legacy users of BombBomb can also choose to link your button to a Form by changing the link type to "Form.")
Link Using Variables:
- Choose "Variable" as the link type.
- Change the "General" dropdown to "Profile" and select "Website" to keep the button link updated if your website changes.
4. Edit Button Appearance

Change Button Color:
- Click the color box next to "Background" to select a color. You can use HEX or RGBA numbers or choose a color with your cursor.

Adjust Button Size:
- Increase or decrease the padding size by editing the numbers around the button.

Add a Border:
- Increase the number next to "Border" to add a border. Change the border color by clicking the color box.

Add Rounded Corners:
- Increase the corner radius to add rounded corners to your button.
5. Add Space Around the Button

Adjust Margin:
- Hover over the button element and click the Gear icon for "Row."
- Select "Row Settings" and adjust the margin numbers in the left panel to add space around the button or adjust its position.

Save Your Work: Always remember to save your changes to ensure they are applied.
