    I agree!  Bomb Bomb needs to develop a virtual background capability for those of us who would like to use it.  Many people who use Zoom are doing it.  Can't be that hard.  The technology is out there. Lets do it. Its cutting edge!

    Virtual backgrounds, PLEASE!!! Because BB does not have capability for virtual backgrounds, I am considering doing my videos in another application.

    Yes, If you took a poll of all your Bomb Bomb clientele I am sure you would have overwhelming response to integrate Virtual Backgrounds into Bomb bomb.  Please make it happen, or take the poll to find out for sure, but I am sure you already know this is a must have now days!

    Yes! I actually got a comment from a viewer once that they didn't like my background on the video. It's literally a very neatly kept bookshelf. So give us a green screen for those types of weirdos!!!

    This is obviously something that MANY of your subscribers need and if not provided will potentially cost you subscribers.  Particularly as many of us are working from home and don't have "ideal" back drops for our videos.  Get it done!

    Good morning!

    Thank you for reaching out and for your feature request regarding a virtual background for the BombBomb Recorder. While we do not have any immediate plans to build this kind of function into our software, there is a software that gives you a virtual background, that does work in our BombBomb recorder.

    There is a program called ChromaCam, and you can download a free version of their software on their website. To download, visit: https://www.chromacam.me/download/***

    Once the program is downloaded to your computer, restart your computer, and open up the ChromaCam program. Once it is open, go into BombBomb to open the recorder. Once the recorder is open, click the Gear icon in the bottom right hand corner and select the ChromaCam camera option.

    ***It is possible that your device may not have hardware specs high enough for this program to run smoothly with our recorder. In some tests we did, there was a good amount of lag when using a Mac computer, so we do not guarantee it will work with every device. If that is the case, there is nothing we can do to fix it because it is due to the specs that ChromaCam needs in order to run smoothly.

    We hope this option will work well for you, and we will continue to take the feedback regarding the desire for a virtual background in our software.

    David. I tried your suggestion, of ChromaCam, but this is not really a good alternative. We are paying a decent amount of money to use BombBomb. I don't understand why having a virtual background implementing is that hard? Even if it's a solid color, I'd be ok with that.

    Hi Meghan! 

    Thank you for giving that suggestion a try. As I mentioned in my previous post, ChromaCam may not work for everyone. This is not a software we support, but is available for those it will work for. In the tests we did on PCs, it seemed to work smoothly, but the Mac test I did was not that way. The graphic cards that are used in Mac computers tend to be "base line", which means certain video programs or functions do not always work as well, or look as good. 

    We continue track the amount of requests we are getting for a greenscreen/virtual background, but due to the amount of development involved in a project like this, we do not have any immediate plans to build this into our software, as of right now.

    You should be able to follow the same steps as James mentioned above.  Just select ManyCam as your virtual camera.
