Option 1: Record in the Web App
The web app is the most full-featured recording experience and the best starting point for most users.

- Your camera preview will open. If you need to adjust your camera, microphone, or virtual background, click the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the preview.

- When you're ready, click the red record button to begin. You'll get a countdown before recording starts.

- Click the stop button when you're finished. Your video will process and save to your Workspace automatically.

- Click the upload icon in the top right corner of the Workspace screen. This opens the New Upload screen.

Option 3: Record Using the Browser Extension
The BombBomb browser extension lets you record from anywhere in Chrome or Edge — including directly inside Gmail and LinkedIn — without opening a separate tab.
- Click the BombBomb icon in your browser toolbar.

- Select Record Yourself to record from your webcam, or Record Screen to capture your screen.

-
Click the red record button to begin.

- Click the stop button when you're finished.

- Click Save. Your video will upload and be saved to your workspace.

From the extension, you can copy a shareable link to paste into any tool, or insert your video directly if you're working inside Gmail or LinkedIn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I see my camera preview in the web app? Your browser may not have permission to access your camera or microphone. Check your browser's site permissions for app.bombbomb.com and make sure both camera and microphone access are allowed. Refresh the page after updating permissions.
My video isn't uploading — what should I check? First, confirm you have a stable internet connection with sufficient upload speed. If you're on a VPN, try disabling it — VPNs can interfere with uploads. In the browser, try a full refresh. If the issue continues, force close and reopen the app.
What's the maximum file size for uploads? 2GB. Files larger than 2GB will need to be compressed or trimmed before uploading.
Which file formats can I upload? BombBomb accepts .mp4, .m4v, .mov, .mkv, .mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .wmv, and .flv files.
Can I record my screen instead of my webcam? Yes — screen recording is available through the browser extension. Select Record Screen after clicking the BombBomb icon in your browser toolbar.
