How to Navigate BombBomb Engage as a Team Member

Overview

This article walks you through every part of the BombBomb Engage interface that's available to you as a team member. Whether you're here to record a quick video or complete an Assignment from your manager, you'll know exactly where to go.

Your Navigation at a Glance

When you log in to BombBomb Engage, everything you need lives in the left-hand navigation. Here's what you'll see:

  • Create Video (orange button at the top)
  • Workspace
  • Automated Workflows
  • Insights
  • Integrations (promo card)
  • Help
  • Chat with Us
  • Your name (bottom-left) → profile menu

Create Video

The orange Create Video button at the top of the nav is your starting point for any video you want to record or upload on your own — outside of an Assignment.

Clicking it opens the recorder, where you can:

  • Record yourself using your webcam
  • Record your screen using the Record Screen option at the bottom of the recorder
  • Upload a video you've already recorded using the Upload a Video option below the recorder
  • Explore the Use Case Library if you need inspiration for what kind of video to send

The recorder toolbar at the bottom gives you additional controls before and during recording:

  • Effects (wand icon) — adjust your Appearance (Touch Up, Color Balance, Brightness, Smart Zoom) and select a Virtual Background. Your Admin may have uploaded company-branded backgrounds for you to choose from. Note that you can select a virtual background but can only upload your own virtual backgrounds if your Admin has enabled that feature. 
  • Video Banner (pencil icon) — add a title and subtitle that overlays on your video
  • Settings (gear icon) — configure your Video Size, Camera, Microphone, Audio Effects, Noise Reduction, and Background Quality

On the right side of the recorder, Speaker Notes let you type your own talking points. Core + Copilot & Enterprise plan members can also click Generate to have AI create a script based on your topic, audience, and preferred tone. Your viewers will never see your Speaker Notes — they're just for you.

Workspace

Workspace is your video library. Click it in the left nav to see all your videos and any videos shared with you by your team.

My Videos contains everything you've recorded or uploaded. From here you can:

  • Mark videos as Favorites for quick access
  • Create My Labels to organize your videos into categories that make sense for you (these are private — your team won't see your labels)
  • Switch between grid and list view using the icons in the top right
  • Search, filter, and sort your videos

Shared Videos contains the company shared folder — named after your organization. This is where your Admins and teammates share videos that the whole account can access, like example videos, templates, or approved messaging. You can view and use anything in this folder.

Note: You can create as many personal labels as you want, but only videos in the company Shared Videos folder are visible to others on your account. Your personal organization stays private to you.


Automated Workflows

Automated Workflows is where you'll find your Assignments — video tasks your Admin has assigned to you as part of a sales campaign.

When you click Automated Workflows, you'll see your campaigns listed on the left and your individual Assignments within each campaign. Click any Assignment to open it on the right side, where you'll see:

  • The recorder, ready for you to record your video
  • A Suggested Script provided by your Admin to guide what you say
  • The option to Select from Workspace if you've already recorded a video you want to use

Each campaign shows you how many Assignments it contains and how many you've completed, so you always know where you stand.

If you don't see anything here, it means your Admin hasn't assigned you to any campaigns yet. Check with your manager.

Note: You can only see and complete your own Assignments here. Campaign creation and team management are handled by your Admin.


Insights

Insights shows you how your videos are performing. You'll see four metrics for the date range you select:

  • Total Face-to-Face Time — the total amount of time your viewers have spent watching your videos
  • Video Plays — how many times your videos have been played
  • Videos Recorded — how many videos you've recorded in the selected period
  • Percent Watched — the average percentage of your videos that viewers watch

Each metric is compared to the previous period so you can see whether your engagement is trending up or down.

Below the metrics, you'll see your Top Performing Videos — the videos getting the most engagement from your viewers.

Use the date filter in the top-left to switch between the last 7, 30, or 90 days.


Integrations

The Integrations promo card in your left nav is a shortcut to connect BombBomb with the tools you use every day — like HubSpot, Gmail, Outlook, or your CRM.

Click Explore Integrations to open the Integrations page, where you can:

  • View your Connected Integrations — anything you've already set up
  • Browse all available integrations and connect new ones

Your API key is also available here if you need it. Click Copy API Key in the top-right corner of the Integrations page, or find it under your profile menu → Integrations.


Help

Click Help at the bottom of the left nav to open the Onboarding & Help panel. From here you can access guided getting-started tasks, visit the Help Center, and see What's New updates.

You can also click Chat with Us to reach BombBomb Support directly.


Your Profile Menu

Click your name in the bottom-left corner to open your personal settings menu:

  • Profile — update your name, photo, phone number, timezone, LinkedIn URL, and notification preferences
  • Email & Password — update your login email or change your password
  • Player Page — customize how your videos appear to viewers (your player page branding, layout, and calls to action)
  • Integrations — manage your connected integrations and access your API key
  • Log out

Frequently Asked Questions

I clicked Automated Workflows but it's blank. What's wrong? Nothing is wrong — it means your Admin hasn't assigned you to any campaigns yet. Reach out to your manager to find out if Automated Workflows are being used on your team.

I can see a Shared Videos folder in my Workspace, but there are no videos in it. Why? The shared folder exists for the whole account, but it's up to your Admins to add videos to it. If it's empty, no team videos have been shared yet.

Can I upload my own virtual backgrounds? Virtual background management is handled by your Admin. If your Admin has enabled Members to upload their own virtual background images, then yes. If not, you can select from the backgrounds they've made available, but you can't upload your own.

Where do I find my API key? Click your name in the bottom-left corner, then click Integrations. Your API key is listed there. Click Copy API Key in the top-right corner.

I don't see a "Team Videos" tab in Insights. Can I see how my teammates are performing? Team performance data is available to Admins only. Your Insights view shows your own video performance.

Why do some of my teammates' videos appear in Workspace but not others? You can only see videos that have been added to the company Shared Videos folder. Videos in a teammate's personal library are private to them.
