Overview
Your Dashboard is your home page in the new BombBomb. It puts the shortcuts to record or upload a video, your latest viewer engagement, and your stats for the last seven days in one place, so you can see what's happening with your videos and get to work right away.
Who this applies to: All users
Plan requirement: Essentials, Pro, Enterprise
Email link clicks in Recent Engagement appear only on Pro and Enterprise plans, which include Email.
Known Limitations
- The Recent Engagement feed shows plays, clicks, likes, and comments. It doesn't show email opens or sends; those appear in Notifications.
- Last 7 Days stats can take up to 5 minutes to update.
Getting to Your Dashboard
The new BombBomb opens to your Dashboard when you sign in. To come back to it from anywhere in the app:

Click Dashboard in the left navigation.

The page greets you by name and is organized into a main column (recording shortcuts, Recent Engagement, and Become a BombBomb Expert) and a right-hand column (Last 7 Days, Quick Links, and Integrations).
Recording or Uploading a Video
The shortcuts at the top of the Dashboard take you straight into creating a video:
- Record Video — opens the recorder to record with your camera.
- Upload Video — opens the upload page so you can choose a video file from your computer.
- Record Screen — opens the recorder and asks what you want to record: Chrome Tab, Window, or Entire Screen. See How to Use the Screen Recorder.
You only see the shortcuts you have permission to use.
Getting Started (New Accounts)
When you're just getting started, a Getting Started card takes the place of the recording shortcuts. If you haven't recorded a video yet, it prompts you to record your first one with Record Video. Once you have one video, the card reads Congrats on your first video! and prompts you to share it so you can start tracking engagement like views and likes.
While the card is showing, Recent Engagement and Last 7 Days stay hidden — there's nothing to report yet.
To share your first video from the card:
- Click Share Video.
- Choose how to share it in the Share Video window — for example, Copy Share Link or Copy for Email.
If you'd rather share later, click Dismiss. The card goes away and the regular Dashboard appears, with your recording shortcuts, Recent Engagement, and Last 7 Days.
Checking Your Last 7 Days
The Last 7 Days panel summarizes your recent activity:
- Videos Recorded — how many videos you recorded.
- Video Plays — how many times your videos were played.
- Average Watch — on average, how much of your videos viewers watched.
The seven days include today. Each number is compared with the previous seven days: a green up arrow or red down arrow shows how much it changed. For Average Watch, the change is in percentage points (for example, 40% to 50% shows as up 10%). No arrow means no change.
To dig deeper, click More insights. Insights opens on My Insights with the same seven-day date range already selected. You see More insights only if you have access to Insights.
Following Your Recent Engagement
Recent Engagement is a running feed of how people interact with your videos and, on plans with Email, your emails, newest first. Each row shows when it happened, what happened (for example, "Someone watched 17% of your video"), the video, and its play count.
- Click a play, like, or comment to open that video's details page, where you can see its engagement.
- Click a link-click row to open that email's tracking page. Email link clicks appear only on Pro and Enterprise plans, which include Email.
- Type in Search to find specific activity by video or email subject, recipient, or comment text. Clear the search to see the full feed again.
- Click Filter to choose which kinds of engagement to show: Plays, Clicks, Likes, and Comments. Check or uncheck each type, or click All to turn them all on or off.
If nothing fits your search and filters, you see "No engagement matches your search or filters." Clear the search or turn more types back on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see email opens or sends in Recent Engagement? The Dashboard feed focuses on how people engage with your videos — plays, clicks, likes, and comments — so opens and sends from bulk emails don't crowd it out. On plans with Email, you can see email opens and sends in Notifications in the left navigation.
Why don't my Last 7 Days numbers update right away? The stats can take up to 5 minutes to catch up with new activity. Refresh the page after a few minutes to see the latest numbers.
Why did the Getting Started card come back in another browser? Dismissing the sharing prompt is saved in the browser you used, not in your account. If you open BombBomb in a different browser or on another computer, you may see it again — dismiss it there too.
