How to Allow BombBomb Pop-ups

Overview

BombBomb's recorder opens in a pop-up window. If your browser is blocking pop-ups, the recorder won't launch. This article shows you how to allow pop-ups for BombBomb in the most common browsers.

Signs a Pop-up Blocker Is Interfering

  • Clicking Record does nothing or causes a brief flash on the screen.
  • The recorder window never opens.
  • Your browser shows a notification that a pop-up was blocked.

How to Allow Pop-ups by Browser

Google Chrome

Quickest method:

  1. Click the lock icon to the left of the URL bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
  3. Find Pop-ups and redirects and set it to Allow.
  4. Refresh the page and try recording again.

Alternatively:

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Pop-ups and redirects.
  2. Under Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects, click Add and enter https://app.bombbomb.com.

Microsoft Edge

Quickest method:

  1. Click the lock icon to the left of the URL bar.
  2. Select Permissions for this site.
  3. Find Pop-ups and redirects and set it to Allow.
  4. Refresh the page and try recording again.

Alternatively:

  1. Go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Site permissions → All sites.
  2. Find bombbomb.com and update the pop-up setting to Allow.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu icon (three lines) in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to Permissions → Block pop-up windows and click Exceptions.
  4. Enter https://app.bombbomb.com and click Allow.

Safari (Mac)

  1. Open Safari → Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Click the Websites tab.
  3. Select Pop-up Windows from the left menu.
  4. Find app.bombbomb.com in the list and set the dropdown to Allow.

Still Not Working?

If you've allowed pop-ups and the recorder still won't open:

  • Disable any third-party pop-up blockers or browser extensions temporarily to see if one of them is the cause.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then refresh the page.
  • Make sure your browser is up to date.
