Step-by-Step Instructions

How to Use Virtual Backgrounds in the Web App

• Log into your BombBomb account at app.bombbomb.com.

• Click Create Video in the top left to launch the camera recorder.

• On the recording screen, locate the effects wand icon at the bottom right and click it.

Note: This is where you can adjust virtual backgrounds.

Choose from the following background options

• • None: Use your real background as-is.

  • Blur: Softens the background while keeping you in focus.

  • Replace Background: Upload or select an image to use as a virtual background.

• Click the red record button to begin your video with the selected background.

FAQs / Common Issues

Q: Why isn’t my background blurring?
A: Check that your camera is enabled and that you’ve selected Blur under the virtual background settings.

Q: Can I upload a custom image as a background?
A: Yes, click the on the button that says "Upload Virtual Background"

Q: Does this work on mobile or the Chrome extension?
A: Virtual background settings are currently only available in the BombBomb web recorder and Chrome Extension.
