How to Trim a Video
- Go to Workspace and click the thumbnail of the video you want to edit.
- Click the Trim & Stitch tab at the top of the editor.
- You'll see your video with a timeline below it and two orange handles on either side of the clip.
Drag the orange handles to adjust the length of the clip — drag inward from either end to remove footage from the beginning or end of the video.
- To make a precise cut in the middle of a clip, position the playhead where you want to split and click Split at [timecode]. This divides the clip into two at that point. You can then:
- Drag the orange handles on either clip to further adjust its length, or
- Click a clip to select it and click Delete Selection to remove it entirely.
- When you're happy with your edit, click Save Video in the top right.
A Trim Video modal will appear. Give your trimmed video a title (required). If you want to remove the original video from your Workspace, check Delete original video.
- Click Save.
Your trimmed video is saved as a new video in your Workspace.
How to Stitch Videos Together
- Go to Workspace and click the thumbnail of the video you want to start with.
- Click the Trim & Stitch tab.
- Click Stitch Videos in the top right.
A drawer opens on the right:
Step 1 of 2 — Select Videos to Stitch. Browse or search your Workspace and check the videos you want to combine. The count at the bottom updates as you select. Click Confirm Selection.
Step 2 of 2 — Name and Set Stitch Order appears. Give your new stitched video a title.
- Drag and drop the clips into the order you want them to appear. Use the trash icon to remove a clip if needed.
- Click Stitch and Save New Video.
Your stitched video is saved as a new video in your Workspace.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will trimming or stitching affect my original video? Trimming saves the result as a new video. You can optionally delete the original in the save modal — if you leave that box unchecked, the original stays in your Workspace untouched. Stitching always creates a new video and does not modify the source videos.
How many videos can I stitch together? There's no hard limit, though we recommend keeping stitched videos concise for viewer engagement.
Can I trim a video before stitching it? Yes — trim each clip first, save it, then use Stitch Videos to combine your edited clips.
