Who this applies to: Admins, Application Admins
Plan requirement: Core, Core + Copilot, Enterprise
How to Access Account-Level Player Page Defaults
-
Click Account Settings in the bottom-left navigation.
- Click the Player Page Defaults tab.
Understanding the Three Lock States
Every field in Player Page Defaults has two controls: Show by Default (Yes/No) and Lock (checkbox). These combine to create three possible states:
State 1: Unlocked (Lock unchecked)
What it means: The field is visible by default, and users have full control to toggle it on or off in their own Player Page settings.
User experience: Users see this field in their Player Page settings with a standard toggle. They can turn it on or off as needed.
When to use it: When you want to set account defaults but give users flexibility to personalize — for example, letting sales reps add their personal LinkedIn profiles or customize their header button text.
State 2: Locked and Visible (Show by Default = Yes, Lock checked)
What it means: The field is always visible on player pages, and users cannot turn it off or change it.
User experience: Users see this field in their Player Page settings marked as "Locked by Account Admin" with the toggle grayed out and forced to "on." They cannot disable it.
When to use it: When you need to enforce brand consistency — for example, requiring the company logo, disclaimer, or brand color to always appear on every video.
State 3: Locked and Hidden (Show by Default = No, Lock checked)
What it means: The field is hidden from player pages, and users cannot turn it on.
User experience: Users see this field in their Player Page settings marked as "Hidden by Account Admin" with the toggle grayed out and forced to "off." They cannot enable it.
When to use it: When you want to remove a field entirely — for example, hiding the company address or social media icons you don't want displayed.
What You Can Configure

Country — Select the country for your company address.
Company Address — Enter your company's street address, city, state, and postal code. This displays on player pages when enabled.

- Light Theme (default)
- Dark Theme

Logo — Upload your company logo. This field is required. When enabled and the Company Website field is populated, clicking the logo takes viewers to your website.

Header Button and Social Links
Header Button — Toggle whether a call-to-action button appears on player pages.
Header Button Text — The default CTA button label that appears on player pages (for example, "Schedule a Meeting" or "Contact Me").
Header Button Link — The default URL, phone number, or email address the button links to. Accepts:
- Website URLs:
https://example.com - Phone numbers:
tel:+1234567890 - Email addresses:
mailto:email@example.com
Lock Social Icons Visibility — When checked, all social media icons (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, X) use the same visibility setting. When unchecked, you can control visibility for each platform individually.
LinkedIn — Add your company LinkedIn profile URL.
Facebook — Add your company Facebook profile URL.
YouTube — Add your company YouTube channel URL.
X (Twitter) — Add your company X (Twitter) profile URL.
LinkedIn: The Special Case
LinkedIn behaves differently from other social media fields because users can set a personal LinkedIn profile in their own Settings (Profile icon → Settings → Profile tab → Social Media).
Here's how it works:
When LinkedIn is unlocked at the account level:
- Users can add their personal LinkedIn URL in their Profile settings
- The user's personal LinkedIn profile takes precedence and displays on their player pages
- The company LinkedIn URL you set here will not display unless the user has no personal LinkedIn set
When LinkedIn is locked at the account level:
- The company LinkedIn URL displays on all player pages
- Users' personal LinkedIn profiles are overridden and do not display
- Users cannot toggle this field in their Player Page settings
Why this matters: If you want your company LinkedIn page to appear consistently across all player pages, you must lock this field. Otherwise, users' personal profiles will display instead.
Saving Your Changes
Click Save Changes to apply your updates. Changes take effect immediately across all player pages that inherit these account-level defaults.
Click Preview Player Page to see how your player page will look with your current settings before saving.
Known Limitations
Team-level Player Page Defaults are currently not working as expected. While you can configure team-level branding in Manage Team → Player Page Defaults, those settings are not currently applying to video player pages. Account-level settings will apply to all users regardless of team assignment until this is resolved. We'll update this article when the fix is live.
What Users Will See
When you lock or hide fields, users see clear indicators in their Player Page settings (Profile icon → Settings → Player Page tab):
-
Locked and Visible: Field shows as "Locked by Account Admin" with toggle forced to "on" and grayed out
- Locked and Hidden: Field shows as "Hidden by Account Admin" with toggle forced to "off" and grayed out
- Unlocked: Field shows as a standard toggle users can control
Users can also click Reset to Account Default next to unlocked fields (like Header Button Text or Header Button Link) to revert their custom values back to your account default without contacting an admin.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can edit Account-Level Player Page Defaults?
Only Admins and Application Admins have access to Account Settings. Team Admins, Team Content Admins, Content Admins, and Members cannot access or edit these settings.
How do users add their personal LinkedIn profile?
When the LinkedIn field is unlocked at the account level, users can add their personal LinkedIn URL by clicking their profile icon → Settings → Profile tab → Social Media section. Their personal profile will display on player pages instead of the company LinkedIn URL.
What happens if I lock a field after users have already customized it?
When you lock a field, the account-level default immediately overrides any personal values users have entered. Their custom values are not deleted — they're just hidden. If you unlock the field later, users' personal values will display again.
Do changes to these settings affect player pages for videos already sent?
Yes. Player page settings apply dynamically, so any changes you make update immediately across all player pages — including those for videos that have already been sent.
Why can't I save my changes?
Company Name, Logo, and Brand Color are all required fields. If you see a "Required" or "Logo is required" error when trying to save, make sure you have filled in all required fields.
What's the difference between "Lock" and "Show by Default"?
Lock controls whether users can override or toggle a field. Show by Default controls whether the field is visible on player pages. These two settings combine to create three states: unlocked (user-controlled), locked and visible (always on), or locked and hidden (always off).
Can users see which fields are locked?
Yes. In their Player Page settings, locked fields display with clear labels: "Locked by Account Admin" or "Hidden by Account Admin" depending on the lock state you've set.
If I unlock the Header Button field, can users point it to their own websites?
Yes. When unlocked, users can change both the Header Button Text and Header Button Link to their own values. They can always click "Reset to Account Default" to revert back to your account setting.
What happens if I change the Brand Color after users have already sent videos?
The new brand color applies immediately to all player pages, including videos already sent. Player page styling updates dynamically based on current settings.
