How to Use the Video Banner

Overview

The Video Banner adds a text overlay to your video that viewers can see — typically used to display your name, title, or a short message. It's configured in the recorder before you start recording.

Plan requirement: Core, Core + Copilot, Enterprise


Known Limitations

The Video Banner must be configured before you begin recording. It cannot be edited mid-recording or removed after a video has been recorded.


How to Add a Video Banner

  1. Click Create Video in the left-hand navigation to open the recorder.
  1. Below the preview window, click Effects (the pen icon) to open the Video Banner settings.
  2. Toggle on the Video Banner.
  1. Fill in your banner details:
    • Title — the primary text displayed on the banner (e.g., your name).
    • Subtitle — secondary text below the title (e.g., your job title or company).
    • Style — select how the banner appears on screen.
  1. Your banner will display on the video in real time as you configure it. When you're satisfied, begin your recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the banner after I've started recording? No. The banner must be set before you begin recording. If you need to make a change, stop the recording, update the banner settings, and re-record.

Can I remove the banner from a video I've already recorded? No. Once a video is recorded with a banner, it's part of the video and cannot be removed.

Does the Video Banner appear on all videos? No. The banner setting applies only to the video you're currently recording. You'll need to configure it each time you want to use it.
