Overview
When AI Video Summaries are enabled, BombBomb automatically generates a short summary of your video based on your spoken content. The summary appears below the video thumbnail on your video's landing page, giving recipients a quick preview of your message before they hit play.
Who this applies to: All Users
Plan requirement: Core + Copilot, Enterprise
How It Works
There's nothing you need to do to trigger a summary — it generates automatically after your video finishes processing. You can record using the BombBomb Engage desktop recorder, the Chrome or Edge extension, or the mobile app.
Once processing is complete, one of three things will appear below your video thumbnail:
- A generated summary — if AI Video Summaries is enabled and BombBomb was able to transcribe enough spoken content from your video.
- A notice that there wasn't enough content to transcribe — if AI Video Summaries is enabled but your video didn't contain enough audible speech to generate a summary.
- Nothing — if AI Video Summaries is turned off for your account.
Editing Your Summary
If you want to adjust the generated summary, click on the summary text to edit it manually. You can rewrite it, trim it, or delete it entirely and replace it with your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why didn't my video generate a summary? AI Video Summaries require enough audible spoken content to transcribe. If your video is silent, too short, or has unclear audio, the feature will note that there wasn't enough content to generate a summary rather than producing an inaccurate one.
Can I turn off AI Video Summaries? This is controlled at the account level. If you don't want summaries appearing on your videos, contact your admin to have the feature disabled.
Can I write my own summary instead of using the AI-generated one? If AI Summaries is enabled, yes. Click the summary field to edit or replace the AI-generated text with your own at any time. If AI Summaries are not enabled, you will not see a summary to edit.
Where does the summary appear for my recipients? The summary appears below the video thumbnail on your video's landing page. Recipients see it before they watch, giving them context for your message.
