Overview
Assignments are the individual video tasks inside a Campaign. As an Admin, you can edit an Assignment at any time to update the script, change the fallback video, adjust assignees, or add an example video. You can also delete Assignments that are no longer relevant, or reorder them to change the sequence your team sees.
Who this applies to: Admins and Content Admins who manage Campaigns
Plan requirement: Core + Copilot, Enterprise
How to Edit an Assignment
- Go to Automated Workflows → Campaigns.
- Expand the Team folder that contains the Campaign.
- Click the Campaign to open it.
- Find the Assignment you want to edit and click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to it.
- Select Edit.
The Edit Assignment modal will open with four tabs:
Create Tab
Update the core Assignment details:
- Assignment Type — choose between New Video (team member records their own) or Introduction Video (plays before the team member's video)
- Assignment Title — the name team members see. Click the lock icon next to the title to prevent team members from changing it.
- Suggested Script — the script you want team members to follow when recording
Assign Tab
Adjust who this Assignment is for:
- Team — the team this Assignment belongs to. Note: the Team field cannot be changed once an Assignment is in progress. If you need to reassign to a different team, you'll need to create a new Assignment.
- Campaign — move this Assignment to a different Campaign if needed
- Assignees — check or uncheck team members to control who receives this Assignment. Assignees can be updated even after an Assignment is in progress.
Upload Tab
Update the fallback or intro video:
- Fallback Video — upload a new fallback or select one from your Workspace. For Intro Video assignments, this video pairs with the assignee's recording. For standard Assignments, this video plays if the assignee hasn't recorded yet.
- Video Title — optional viewer-facing title
Example Tab
Add or update an example video that shows team members what a great recording looks like.
When you're done, click Save Changes.
Understanding Draft vs. In Progress Assignments
Assignments exist in one of two states:
- Draft — the Assignment has been created but assignees can't see it yet.
- In Progress — the Assignment is active and visible to assignees.
Assignees only see Assignments that are In Progress. You can edit most fields — including the title, script, fallback video, and assignees — regardless of whether the Assignment is in draft or in progress. The one exception is the Team field, which is locked once an Assignment moves to In Progress.
How to Delete an Assignment
- Go to Automated Workflows → Campaigns.
- Expand the Team folder and click the Campaign.
- Find the Assignment and click the three-dot menu (⋮).
- Select Delete.
- In the confirmation modal, check "Yes, delete this assignment" and click Delete.
Important: Deleting an Assignment removes it immediately and permanently. It is removed from the assignees' queue right away — they will no longer see it or be able to complete it. This cannot be undone.
How to Reorder Assignments
The order of Assignments determines the sequence your team members see them.
- Go to Automated Workflows → Campaigns and open the Campaign.
- Click Reorder in the upper right.
- Drag and drop Assignments into the correct order.
- Click Save Order.
The new order applies immediately to all active and future Assignments in this Campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover a deleted Assignment? No. Deletion is permanent and the Assignment is immediately removed from all assignees' queues. You'll need to create a new Assignment if you delete one by mistake.
Will team members be notified when I edit their Assignment? No. Assignments don't send notifications when edited. If you make significant changes to an in-progress Assignment, consider messaging your team directly.
What's the difference between editing an Assignment and creating a new one? Editing updates everything in the existing Assignment except the Team it belongs to. If you need to change the Team, you'll need to create a new Assignment.
What happens to Assignments if I delete their Campaign? Assignments are not deleted when a Campaign is deleted. They are moved to No Campaign Selected and remain accessible. You can reassign them to a different Campaign at any time.
What happens if I update the fallback video on an in-progress Assignment? The updated fallback video applies to the Assignment going forward, including for assignees who haven't recorded yet.
